Description	:	Oscar was the son of Erik Molin. His mother's name is unknown at this time. He was born in Sweden on September 6, 1876. On December 27, 1898, Oscar married a young lady from Norway, Miss Agnes Mathilde Torkildsen. (This is just one way of spelling her last name.) They were married in Kampen, Gamle Oslo Bourough, Oslo, Norway. They had one son while living in Norway, Carl Edwin, born on February 26, 1899. His mother's name is unknown at this time. He was born in Sweden on September 6, 1876. On December 27, 1898, Oscar married a young lady from Norway, Miss Agnes Mathilde Torkildsen. (This is just one way of spelling her last name.) They were married in Kampen, Gamle Oslo Bourough, Oslo, Norway. They had one son while living in Norway, Carl Edwin, born on February 26, 1899. The young family was living in Hovik, Norway when they decided to come to the United States. Their voyage on the ship, the Hekla began in Christiania, Norway. (Also spelled Kristiania. Today it is known as Oslo.) Oscar, Agnes and young Carl arrived at the Port of New York on June 28, 1901. The passenger list states that Oscar had $13 to his name when he arrived here. The list also says that the family's final destination was Great Falls, Montana, where Agnes's brother, Nels Thorkildsen lived. In Montana, Oscar and Agnes had a ranch, where they grew wheat and corn. They also raised cattle and sheep. Oscar and Agnes had 7 more children: Thoralf (Ralph) Sr., born February 14, 1903 in Great Falls, Montana; Oscar, born on March 6, 1905; Olga Edith, born in 1906; Hilda, born in about 1909; Matilda, born in about 1912, Christian, born in about 1915 and Tony, born in about 1917. All of their children were born in Montana. On September 12, 1918, Oscar registered for the draft for WWI. His paperwork says that he was of medium build and height, with light blue eyes and light brown hair. There is no indication that Oscar was drafted, though. Agnes died in 1949. In 1953, Oscar married Emma Swan. Oscar passed away in Madison County, Montana on October 28, 1957. He was laid to rest in Geraldine Cemetery on October 31, 1957.
