Description	:	Otto Hinder was born Sept. 15, 1871 and died Mar. 1, 1917, aged 45 years, 5 months and 14 days. His parents came to the country in an early day, emigrating from Ohio. Here he grew to manhood and in 1893 was married to Miss Jennie Morrison who passed away two months later. On December 3, 1896 he was united in marriage to Miss Florence E. Border. Read More	Otto Hinder was born Sept. 15, 1871 and died Mar. 1, 1917, aged 45 years, 5 months and 14 days. His parents came to the country in an early day, emigrating from Ohio. Here he grew to manhood and in 1893 was married to Miss Jennie Morrison who passed away two months later. On December 3, 1896 he was united in marriage to Miss Florence E. Border. To them were born 5 children: Helen, Merton, Vera, Treva and Esther, who, together with their mother mourn the loss of husband and father. For a number of years he resided in Hartford township but in 1915 he purchased a large farm in Humboldt to which he moved. Here he put on various improvements, but, on account of falling health, he deemed it advisable to procure a smaller place, and in November, 1916, sold his Humboldt farm and, returning to Iowa County, purchased what is known as the old Pike property. While packing their goods preparatory to moving, the entire family became afflicted with throat trouble, but Mr. Hinder continued with his work. On Saturday, Feb. 24, he was attacked with a heavy chill while in the car, but was able to return home with his team, after which he retired to bed. Growing worse, he was taken to the hospital where the doctors pronounced his malady an infection of the throat, and although every effort was made to save his life, he passed away between the hours of 8-9 Thur. evening, Mar. 1. The body was brought to Ladora arriving Sat. night and the funeral service was held in the M.E. Church, Sun. at 2:30pm, conducted by Rev. Zimmerman. The remains were taken to Victor and laid to rest in the cemetery at that place.
