Read More	The following provided by Find a Grave contributor "Cara": The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 5 Jan 1944 Owen Lee Grundy Owen Lee Grundy, for the past 17 years a resident of Shonkin, passed away at the St. Clare hospital in this city at 5:00 p.m. Dec. 30th, following an illness extending over the past two years. Mr. Grundy had been a patient at the hospital several times during his illness and was brought in about three weeks ago. His death was due to uremic poisoning. Owen Lee Grundy was born on July 15, 1881, in DeKalb county, Missouri, where he spent his early life. Before coming to Montana he lived for a time in King City, Missouri. From King City the family moved to Montana in 1913 and have since resided here. Mrs. Grundy passed away a couple years ago. For the past 17 years Mr. Grundy has been postmaster and merchant of the town of Shonkin. He also managed the local elevator there and looked after some farming interests. He was held in the highest esteem by all who knew him and his friends were only numbered by his acquaintance. His passing will be mourned by a large circle of friends who had known him as a good friend and a good neighbor through many years of acquaintanceship. Mr. Grundy is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bonnie Hooker, who has lived with him since the death of Mrs. Grundy, and Mrs. Ed Walden of Darby, Mont.; by his mother, Mrs. Minerva Grundy; a sister, Mrs. Della Thrailkill of Kansas City, Missouri, and C. F. Grundy of Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral services were held from the Louther chapel in this city on Monday at 2 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Wallace Smith, pastor of the Christian church. The chapel was filled with friends and neighbors who came to pay their last respects to a departed friend and a good neighbor. Burial was made in the family plot in Riverside cemetery. ..........
