He had been a resident of the Sunnyside Community since 2003. He was born Feb. 15, 1924, in Harrisonburg, and was a son of the late C. Grattan and Julia Page Pleasants Price Sr. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Harrisonburg. He was a partner in C.G. Price and Sons Insurance Agency. He had been a resident of the Sunnyside Community since 2003. He was born Feb. 15, 1924, in Harrisonburg, and was a son of the late C. Grattan and Julia Page Pleasants Price Sr. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Harrisonburg. He was a partner in C.G. Price and Sons Insurance Agency. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Rhineland, and the recipient of the Purple Heart. On March 26, 1946, he married the former Ann Sites, who died May 28, 1975. He is survived by one daughter, Eleanor Page Price; two sons and daughters- in-law, Edmund Pleasants and Deborah Houff Price and W. Marshall and Gloria Brown Price, all of Harrisonburg. Six grandchildren and spouses, Patrick Page Price, Katherine Price and Wesley Lee Campbell, Emily Price and Mark Scott Hall, William Randolph and Blaire Henderson Price, James Marshall and Cassandra Ford Price, and Sarah Paige Price; and one great- grandson, Tanner William Campbell, also survive. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday morning, March 19, 2011, at 10 a.m. by Dr. Paul A. O'Gorek and Dr. John Sloop in Woodbine Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Rockingham Memorial Hospital Hospice Unit, 2010 Health Campus Drive, Harrisonburg, VA 22801, or to Massanetta Springs Conference Center, 712 Massanetta Springs Road, Harrisonburg, VA 22801.
