Read More	Buried May 2, 1912 Clyde Voice Republican Thursday May 9, 1912 Page 1 Pascal Adams The subject of our sketch was born in Canada in the month of April in the year 1824 and died at his home on Washington Street in Clyde May 2, 1912, at the age of 88 years and 26 days. Sixty-two years ago, in Canada he married Miss Desange Mailloux. To their union six children were born, four girls and two boys. They can to Illinois in 1867. Seven years later they came to Kansas locating east of Palmer. Fourteen years ago, they moved from there to Clyde where they have since resided. Twelve years ago, they celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary. At that time it was considered a great event, but to think of this worthy couple enjoying the joys and sorrows of life together for sixty-two years and then to be called upon by a greater Power to separate, sends a sting of sorrow and pain through the hearts of those dear to the deceased by any tie. The health of the deceased was seemingly as good as usual until four o’clock last Thursday morning he was stricken with paralysis, rendering him unconscious, in which state he remained until 6 o’clock that evening when the Angel of Death appeared and beckoned him home where no parting with friends is known. He leaves to mourn their loss the following relatives: A devoted wife; six children. Mrs. Matilda Chaput and Fred Adams of Miltonvale, Mrs. Osilda Benoit and Victora Adams, of Aurora, and Mrs. Rose Mercier, and Napoleon Adams of Linn, Kan., and fifty grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. The funeral was held at the Catholic church Saturday morning at 10 o’clock, Rev. Father Colleran in charge, and burial took place in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The deceased was a kind husband, a thoughtful father and a true friend. As such he will be remembered by those who knew him in life, and may eternal rest be his reward. From a copy of Paschal Adam Birth/Baptism register from Quebec indicates he was actually born in 1828. Year on headstone is incorrect.
