Description	:	Paul Koehler Paul Koehler was born in Plotzig-Pommern, Germany, July 31, 1872. At the age of 17 he came to Douglas County, Kansas, where he had resided until his death, July 15, 1951, having reached the age of nearly 79 years. During this time, he was a farmer in the Eudora, Sigel and Fairview communities. On May 29, 1901, he was married to Bertha Stoelzing who died in 1933. To them were born three daughters. On September 28, 1935, he was married to Margaret Stoelzing, a sister of the first Mrs. Koehler. They lived on their farm in the Fairview community until 1941, when they moved to Lawrence. Koehler is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret Koehler; three daughters, Mrs. Louise Pohl of Ottawa, Miss Hilda Koehler of Freeport, N.Y., and Edna Koehler of the home; one brother, William Koehler of Lawrence, a sister, Mrs Emma Raddatz of Germany, and a grandson, Kenneth Pohl, of Ottawa. Koehler has had a life long interest in the church, having been an active and faithful member of the Methodist church for 62 years. Civic affairs were also of vital importance to him as he worked toward the betterment of the communities in which he lived. Funeral services were conducted by D. O.E. Allison and the Rev. G.H. Woestemeyer at the Methodist church in Lawrence, July 18, with internment in Oak Hill Cemetery.
