This memorial was originally entered with a DOD of Aug. 12, 1996 in error due to an error in a previous cemetery transcription project listing. Although a SSDI record listed/lists the DOD as Aug. 15, 1995, that appears to be in error as well, perhaps the SSDI information was submitted by the Parkview Care Center or other entity and the error not corrected. Because of the use of 1996 for the death year this contributor did not find an obituary published for Paul, but in finding that he died in 1995 an obituary was found and is transcribed onto this memorial on March 17, 2017. --------------- Fairfield Ledger Monday August 14, 1995 Paul E. Montgomery Paul E. Montgomery, 67, of Parkview Care Center, died at 7:40 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, 1995 (sic. August 13, 1995), at Jefferson County Hospital. A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Ed Parker officiating. A memorial has been established to the Arc of Jefferson County. Raymond Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Montgomery was born Dec. 18, 1927, in Fairfield, the son of James C. and Fern Frances Forney Montgomery. He was a lifetime resident of the Fairfield community. Surviving are a sister, Betty Workman of Fairfield; a brother, James R. of Davenport; several nieces and nephews. His parents, a sister, Marie Crable, and a brother, Robert Wayne, preceded him in death.
