Read More	PAULINE KELCH Pauline H. (Laschanzky) Kelch was born to Ernest F. Laschanzky and Grace A. VanPatten Laschanzky on July 30, 1922, at Grafton, and passed away Dec. 6, 2001, at the Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva at the age of 79 years. Pauline's first years of school were spent in a rural district. She later attended Fairmont Public School, graduating in the class of 1939. Pauline was married to Frederick (Fritz)Kelch of Fairmont on Nov. 25, 1942. To this union three sons were born, Larry Lee, Kenneth Wayne, and Carl Marvin. Much of Pauline's life was spent working in food service. At the time of her death, she was employed at the Fairmont Senior Center. Pauline was a homemaker and she enjoyed doing craftwork. She was a past Sunday school teacher, Cub Scout leader, and was an avid bowler. She was active in VFW Auxiliary, Legion Auxiliary, and Eastern Star. Family was the most important thing in the world to Pauline. Her happiest moments were spent with a grandchild in her arms, and playing games and cards with her grandkids. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Grace Laschanzky, husband Fritz Kelch; sons Larry and Kenny Kelch; and brothers Carl and Glenn Laschanzky. She is survived by her son, Carl and Judy; daughters-in-law, Jan, Lindy, and Vicki; grandsons, Jeff, Jon (Michelle); Sue and Dale Erickson; Lori Kelch, Jamie and Bill Houts. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted from the Fairmont Community Church in Fairmont on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2001, with Rev. Betsy Galloway-Carew officiating. Susan Kleinschmidt accompanied the congregation, who soang "On Eagles Wings," "In the Garden" and "How Great Thou Art." A taped selection of "Just a Closer Walk with Thee" was also played. Casket bearers were Mel Ackerman, Roger Nun, Jeff Kelch, John Kelch, Dean Kelch and Bill Houts. Honorary bearers were Michele Kelch, Lori Kelch, Jamie Houts and Sue Erickson.
