She was born in Waterville on November 23, 1934, to Marie (Oberstaedt) and John A. Danielson, Sr. She graduated from Waterville High School in 1953, and attended Wenatchee Valley College. "Polly" Buse, 75, a lifetime resident of Waterville, WA, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 11, 2010, at Colonial Vista Rehabilitation Center in Wenatchee. She was born in Waterville on November 23, 1934, to Marie (Oberstaedt) and John A. Danielson, Sr. She graduated from Waterville High School in 1953, and attended Wenatchee Valley College. She worked as a Title Clerk for several years in Wenatchee. Polly married Lawrence "Butch" Buse on November 13, 1955, in Waterville. Polly was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother, who kept everyone in line. She had an amazing sense of humor and her quick wit was sometimes shocking and thought provoking. She helped on the family farm and had many interests and hobbies that included: reading, cooking, sewing, entertaining and gardening. She was an active and confirmed member of the Lutheran Church and enjoyed the fellowship of the Tabitha Circle and worked on quilts for Lutheran World Relief. She was a USDA Master Food Preserver and lived by the adage, "When in doubt, throw it out." She enjoyed playing cards, games and one arm bandits. She volunteered countless hours of service to the Douglas County Election Board, 4-H Clubs and the Douglas County Historical Society. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence "Butch" Buse of Waterville; her three daughters, Mardelle (LeeRoy) Jordan of Waterville, Meridith Rood of Edmonds and Amelia "Mia" (Brian) Buse-Stone of North Bend; three grandchildren, Heath Jordan of Waterville, Abby (Josh) O'Brien of Douglas and Christopher Rood of Edmonds; three brothers, Kenny (JoLane) Danielson of Sprague, Leroy (Barbara) Danielson and John Jr. (Lillian) Danielson, all of Waterville; and many nieces and nephews. Polly also leaves behind numerous dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her aunt, Augusta Harmon; two sisters, Helen (Tom) Leming and Ruth (Johnny) Schmidt; and granddaughter, Haley Christine Rood. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 15, 2010, at the United Lutheran Church in Waterville. Viewing will be at Waterville Funeral Home on Thursday, October 14, 2010, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Central Washington Hospital Dialysis Center in Wenatchee, Waterville Ambulance Fund or a charity of your choice.
