Description	:	Pearl Nona Morehead, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Morehead was born in Carlinville, Illinois, January 24, 1887, and departed this life in the hospital in Denver, Colo., August 29, 1944, at the age of 57 years, 7 months and 5 days. She went to Vernon, Colo., with her parents as an infant from Illinois and lived there nine years. Then moved to Nuckolls county (sic), near Nelson, where she grew to womanhood. To this union were born four children: Everett Earl, Englewood, Colo., Harold Andrew, Superior, Nebr., Elva Daisy Todd, Englewood, Colo., and Golda Blanch Girordot, Aurora, Colo. Besides these children and her husband, she leaves to mourn: her mother, Mrs. Nona Morehead, two sisters and two brothers, Virgil Morehead, Englewood, Colo., Delia Larsen of Los Angeles, Calif., Ralph Morehead and Aletha Gharring of Nelson, Nebr,; ten grandchildren, Pvt. Robert E. Marshall of New Guinea, Marlys and Willa Marshall of Englewood, Colo., Tommy, Barbara, Beverly, Claudien and Betty Kay Marshall of Superior, Nebr., Jimmy and Frances Girardot of Aurora, Colo.; and other relatives, and a host of friends. Her father, Wm. A. Morehead, two brothers, Austin A. and LeRoy Morehead preceded her in death. She confessed her faith in Christ in the year 1905 and became a member of the Christian Church in Nelson, in which she has been an active member all her life. She was a good mother and enjoyed her children; a loving and devoted wife, and a good neighbor. Her main interest in life was the welfare of her home, family and friends. Her many friends will remember her as a woman of great patience and kindness during her years of illness. But now she has been released and we are grateful to god for the home He has prepared for her, where there is no pain nor sorrow. Memory of Mother. At evening time it shall be light The prophet foretold of Israel's night When all their age-long yokes are broken And the peace of God to them is spoken. So though our lives with their joy and care Will yield at last to a time more fair When our faith shall lose itself in sight At evening time it shall be light. Mother has gone to the better land, Smiles on her face - a wave of the hand Her heart aglow with heavens delight At evening time it shall be light. Why should our hearts be burdened and sad, Why should we not look up and be glad, That this beautiful soul has taken its flight At evening time it shall be light. The bright clouds hang in brilliant array, After the sun has faded away, This sainted life ever speaks with night At evening time it shall be light. The funeral services were held at the Christian Church in Nelson Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, conducted by Rev. C.M. Foust. A quartet - Ollie Aikin, Mrs. Harold Wood, Mrs. Davis Smith and F.A. Scherzinger, with Mrs. H.A. Brubaker at the piano, furnished the music. The pallbearers were: Floyd Rouse, Billy Wehrman, Chas. Haidsiak, Paul Hummell, P.A. Peterson and Joe Diehl. Card of Thanks. We wish to thank our many friends and neighbors for the kind words and flowers in our hour of deep sorrow. Also we thank the ladies who prepared the nice dinner for us at the Christian church (sic).
