McCray, two well known clothing men of this city, are in charge. Highland Recorder March 4, 1949 Peter F. McCray who died last Thursday (Feb. 23) at his home near Churchville, was buried Saturday in the cemetery at his former home Headwaters. Mr. McCray had been a resident of Augusta County for a number of years. He is survived by his wife, who was Miss Clara Snodgrass, one daughter, Mrs. Edward Hevener. Churchville, three sons, Linwood and Harold of Clarksburg, W. Va. and Lytton of Staunton, one brother Reese McCray of Headwaters, one sister, Mrs. Drummond of Clarksburg, W. Va. The funeral was conducted by the Rev. Frank Goodman, assisted by Rev. George H. Rector. Mr. McCray was a member of the Headwaters Presbyterian church and was highly respected by his friends. Peter P. McCray, died Thursday, February 24, at his home, Churchville Rt 1. Death was attributed to a cerebral hemorrhage. He was born in Headwaters, son of Robert and Mary Ann McCray. He attended public school in Headwaters, but had lived in Augusta for the past 20 years. He was a member of the Headwaters Presbyterian Church, where funeral services were held Saturday at 3 p. m., with Rev. Frank L. Goodman officiating assisted by Rev. George H. Rector. He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Clara Snodgrass; one daughter Mrs. E. L. Hevener, of Churchville; three sons, Linwood E., and Harold C. of Clarksburg, W. Va. and Lytton T., Staunton; one sister Mrs. Sallie Drummond Clarksburg and one brother, O. R. McCray, Headwaters.
