Woodward at 5 A.M. August 12, 1930, at the age of 85 years, 2 months and 21 days. In the year 1850, when he was but 5 years old, his parents came to the United States and for 14 years lived in the state of Ohio, from where in 1864 the family moved to Minnesota to the town of Brownsville. Read More	Glasco Sun, Aug. 14, 1930, page 1: Peter Lampert Mr. Peter Lampert was born in Hesse Darmstadt, Germany, May 21, 1845, and passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H.S. Woodward at 5 A.M. August 12, 1930, at the age of 85 years, 2 months and 21 days. In the year 1850, when he was but 5 years old, his parents came to the United States and for 14 years lived in the state of Ohio, from where in 1864 the family moved to Minnesota to the town of Brownsville. He came to Glasco, Kansas in Nov. 1901 and remained here until the day of his death. On April 16, 1880 he was united in marriage with Miss Wilhelmina Voshart, which union was blessed with 4 sons and 1 daughter. Three of the sons and one daughter are surviving him; his wife and one son preceded him in death. The surviving children are Mr. Henry Lampert of Simpson, Kans.; Mr. George Lampert of Nevis, Alberta, Canada; Mr. John Lampert of Sterling, Colorado; and Mrs. H.S. Woodward of Glasco, Kansas. Besides his immediate family he leaves one brother and two sisters in Minnesota and five grandchildren. Mr. Lampert was a man of fine Christian character and a baptized and confirmed member of the Lutheran Church and faithfully adhered to this faith unto the end, ever proving himself a good citizen, loved and respected by all who knew him. For the past 2 months he had been in very poor health but all was done for him that loving hands could do. (Long poem followed) Funeral services were held at the Lutheran Church Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Albright. Interment was made in the Glasco Cemetery.
