Read More	He was married to Matilda Alice Spangler, February 4, 1864, in Stark County, Ohio. In the 1900 census, Peter and his wife were living in Farmer Township, Defiance County, Ohio. He was listed as, Peter P. Culler, a land lord, age 59, born June 1840, in Ohio, and his wife, Matilda A. Culler, age 62, born January 1838, in Ohio. This was recorded in the Defiance Democrat, Defiance, Ohio, February 27, 1879. The evening of February 4th was a complete but agreeable surprise to Mr. P. P. Culler. Upon returning to the house after feeding his stock, he found it occupied by about thirty of his friends and neighbors. Mr. Culler was for some time completely at a loss to understand this strange proceeding until a box of glassware upon the table told him they had come to help him celebrate his crystal wedding, whereupon he adjourned himself for a few moments and reappeared with his wedding coat on. Rev. Spangler failing to put in an appearance, the couple were reunited in the bonds of wedlock by Henry Stoy, Esq. After the wedding the bride and groom were presented with a complete set of glassware. Mr. James Nison made the presentation speech on behalf of the company, which was responded to by both Mr. and Mrs. Culler. They then proceeded to the supper table, where they partook of an excellent supper prepared by the company and Mrs. Culler. The wedding ended as it began, with good feeling toward everybody, and wishes from all that the happy couple might live to celebrate their golden wedding in happiness.
