ELDON JENKINS 20, paratrooper, was killed on Luzon in action with the airborne troops on Feb l6, l945. His mother, Mrs. Lulu Jenkins, North Manchester, received official notification of his sacrifice. Pvt. Jenkins was born June 7,
1924. He enlisted in the army in Feb l943 and went to thePacific area in May l944 where he participated in the fighting on New Guinea and other campaigns on the approach to the Philippines.
