Description	:	Norlin LeRoy Lemcke died on the morning of June 5, 2006, one month before his 66th birthday. A memorial service was held at the American Legion Post No. 1992 in Denver, Colo. A graveside service will be held this fall in Pierre to celebrate his life. Norlin Lemcke was born in Pierre to Christian and Julia Ward Lemcke. He served in the U.S. Army and Army reserves, which included a tour in Formosa (Taiwan). A graveside service will be held this fall in Pierre to celebrate his life. Norlin Lemcke was born in Pierre to Christian and Julia Ward Lemcke. He served in the U.S. Army and Army reserves, which included a tour in Formosa (Taiwan). He worked for Allied Van Lines for more than 20 years, receiving many commendations and eventually serving as the manager of dispatch services. In 1972, Norlin married Marion Dillman in Omaha, Neb. She preceded him in death in 1999. Norlin moved to Denver, Colo., where he was actively involved in the American Legion Post No. 1992. Norlin loved children although he had none of his own, and he cared deeply for his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. They will continue to remember him in love. Survivors include his sisters, Lorraine Koehn and Janice Spilde of Aurora, Colo., and Cheryl Schalde of Sioux Falls; one aunt, Mary Ward, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, his mother and father, his brothers James and Delaine, and his nephew Kurt. Memorials may be made to a charity of a person's choice.
