She was born Sept. 14, 1934, in Clyde, the daughter of Philbert Begnoche and Anna Charbonneau. She graduated from Clyde High School in 1953. She married Donald L. Sorell on Sept. 19, 1953, at Clyde. She was born Sept. 14, 1934, in Clyde, the daughter of Philbert Begnoche and Anna Charbonneau. She graduated from Clyde High School in 1953. She married Donald L. Sorell on Sept. 19, 1953, at Clyde. He survives of the home. She was a lifetime resident of Clyde and worked for 38 years as a bookkeeper and secretary for the George W. Hays and Son Lumber Yard in Clyde. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Clyde, and the Catholic Daughters of America. She also taught CCD and CYO classes for over 25 years. Survivors also include son Dr. Brian Sorell and wife Colette of Overland Park and grandchildren, Jason and Melissa of Manhattan, James and wife Sarah of Liberty, Mo., and Matthew, Danielle and Ryan of Overland Park; son Phil Sorell and wife Rhonda of St. George and grandchildren Joshua of Manhattan and Houston and Chantry of St. George; son Derek and wife Marcella of Salina; Dr. Sean Sorell and wife Lisa of Manhattan and grandchildren Lane and Isaac also of Manhattan. Other survivors include her mother Anna Begnoche of Clyde; sisters Julia Fraser and husband Gary of Concordia, Mary Nicholas and husband Dale and Denise Beeson and husband Ron, all of Clyde; brothers Johnny Begnoche and wife Irene of Clyde and Michael Begnoche and wife Beth of Clay Center. Services were Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Clyde. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery of Clyde. Memorials may be sent to the Phillis Sorell Scholarship Fund in care of the Chaput Mortuary, 310 Washington St. P.O.
