| Description | : | Son of Telemachus Tinsley & Oney [Foster] Tinsley One of the 4 sons of Telemachus Tinsley that was killed in the Civil War. Was a Confederate soldier stationed at Charleston, Fort Moultrie on Sullivan's Island. Artillery shell from the Union ship Weehawken bounced off the muzzle of a Confederate 8" gun and into an ammo supply area and some 16 Confederate soldiers were killed including Ransom Tinsley. He was 24 years old. It is not known where or if his remains were buried. NOTE: No legible headstone |
