Description	:	Probably born in the Holly Springs area of Spartanburg County. Enlisted on Aug. 27, 1861 at Spartanburg in Company D of 13th SC Volunteers. On Feb. 25, 1863, his father, Telemachus, presented a claim for his death. Records indicate that he died at Laurel Hill, Virginia, on July 31, 1862. Telemachus' affidavit indicated that he left neither wife nor child. Burial site has not been learned.(Other records indicate that he was a member of Company C, 13th SCV, and died on July 29, 1862.)
