She was married to Frank P. Clinton on January 4, 1906. They farmed in the Massena vicinity except for four years near Corning. Mr. Clinton died January 1956. Mrs. Clinton's parents and four brothers, A.J., Tom, Gene, and Hank Cruise preceded her in death. Mrs. Clinton's parents and four brothers, A.J., Tom, Gene, and Hank Cruise preceded her in death. Surviving are two sons, Earl F. and Joseph W. of Massena; five daughters, Mrs. Monica Timberman and Mrs. Dolores Hopkins both of Omaha, Mrs. Ruth Hogan and Mrs. Gladys Brentnall both of Massena, and Mrs. Bertha Waters of Atlantic; 23 grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. John Anstey of Massena, Mrs. Walter Darling of Atlantic, Mrs. Dan Shey of Red Oak, and Mrs. Martha Vasko of Omaha; two brothers, George and Joseph Cruise, both of Massena. Rosary was recited at the Clinton home Thursday evening and Requiem High Mass was offered at 10 a.m. Friday, December 15 from St. Patrick church in Massena with Father Anthony Palmer officiating. Alter servers were James Stakey, Joe Lee Clinton, John McLaren, and Richard DeVore. Pallbearers were three nephews, Perry Morrison, Ronald Pierson, and Terrance Waters, and three grandsons, Patrick Clinton, Teddy Timberman, and James Waters. Burial was in the Calvary cemetery in Massena. Those attending from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Clinton of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Brentnall and Dr. John W. Cruise of Creston, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Clinton of Lenox, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Shey of Red Oak, Mrs. Martha Vasko, Teddy Timberman, Connie Pearls, Mrs. Gene Giant and Jeanne and Mrs. Sammy Piccolo all of Omaha, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Cullen of Council Bluffs, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Maeder of Orient, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph M. Connolly, Leo Curry, Jack Cruise, and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Morrison all of Corning.
