Per the Gibbony Family History, Rachel's father, John Thomas Gibbony, attended Wittenberg College in Springfield, Ohio in 1858, 1859, and 1860. He enlisted for service in the Civil War on 9 Aug 1862 as a Private in Company I of the 90th Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry. He mustered out at the end of the war, 34 months later, on June 22, 1865. He was in the Army of the Cumberland, in the Tennessee Campaign, battles of Chicamauga, Chattanooga, Missionary Ridge and many others in... Per the Gibbony Family History, Rachel's father, John Thomas Gibbony, attended Wittenberg College in Springfield, Ohio in 1858, 1859, and 1860.
