Description	:	Ralph "Tunny" Moody, 71, of State Center died Friday, June 10, 1994 at the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning, June 15 at the First Presbyterian Church in State Center with the Rev Harold Werley officiating. Burial followed in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Marshalltown. Ralph oody was born April 8, 1923 in McCallsburg, the son of Abner E and Julia Hartness Moody. He was married to Mabel Huff on July 21, 1940 in Princeton, Missouri and then they were later divorced. Burial followed in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Marshalltown. Ralph oody was born April 8, 1923 in McCallsburg, the son of Abner E and Julia Hartness Moody. He was married to Mabel Huff on July 21, 1940 in Princeton, Missouri and then they were later divorced. Three children survive; Virginia (Mrs William) Senter of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; LaDonna Henderson of Cedar Rapids and Dale Moody of Lawrenceville, Georgia. There are four grandchildren and three great grandchildren surviving. Two sisters and two brothers also survive: Dorothy (Mrs Merle) Buchan and Nellie (Mrs Max) Klar, both of Marshalltown, Harlen Moody of Cambridge and LaVern "Boots" Moody of Marshalltown. Several nieces and nephews also survive, and his longtime companion, Lucy Scott, of State Center. Mr Moody was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Mae Bloomfield, and two brothers, William Moody and Monroe Moody. Reared and educated in Lamoille he attended school there. After serving with the U.S. Navy during World War 2 he returned to the State Center area and had driven a truck for several years, then working for the Speers Hatchery. He later owned and operated the West Marshall Sanitation Co. until his retirement in 1988. The last two years he was employed by the Tri-Sod Farms. Mr Moody was a member of the Harlan G Pfantz Post of the American Legion in State Center. June 16, 1994 State Center Enterprise.
