Description	:	LEFEVER, RALPH—Ralph Lefever, 67, passed away at the Mennonite hospital in Beatrice, January 7, 1969. He had resided at Beatrice the past few months, having moved there from Lincoln. He had been hospitalized six days. He was born December 14, 1901, near Strang, Neb., the son of Daniel M. and Elizabeth Lefever. In school Ralph was an adept student pursuing his education after graduation at Strang high school in York College, receiving the A. B. Read More	LEFEVER, RALPH—Ralph Lefever, 67, passed away at the Mennonite hospital in Beatrice, January 7, 1969. He had resided at Beatrice the past few months, having moved there from Lincoln. He had been hospitalized six days. He was born December 14, 1901, near Strang, Neb., the son of Daniel M. and Elizabeth Lefever. In school Ralph was an adept student pursuing his education after graduation at Strang high school in York College, receiving the A. B. Degree, and at the University of Nebraska, where he earned an A. M. Degree. Soon afterward when doing mathematical work at Yerkes Observatory, Lake Geneva, Wis., he suffered a nervous breakdown, following which he never regained his former ambitions. While in York, Ralph attended and joined the United Brethren church on confession of faith. For 25 years he lived in the country in Maryland, returning to Nebraska two years ago. He is survived by a brother, Paul of Strang; and two sisters, Mrs. Orville J. Lewis of York, and Mrs. John R. Lefever of Humphreys, Mo. Funeral services were conducted from the Kritner-Farmer funeral home in Geneva at 2 p. m. Thursday, January 9. Dr. J. C. Morgan of York and Rev. K. Orlando Lee officiated. Sheldon Johnson sang “Abide With Me” and “In the Garden.” Mrs. Johnson was accompanist. Pallbearers were Warren Lefever, Wayne Lefever, Kenneth Lefever and Melvin Ralston.
