Ralph is survived by: wife, Renee Wardsyn of Loup City, Nebraska; sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Dawn Wardyn of Grand Island, Nebraska, John and Denise Wardyn of Wichita, Kansas, Leonard and Marcia Wardyn of Farwell, Nebraska, Ron and Linda Wardyn of Loup City, Nebraska, Pete and Deb Wardyn of Cozad, Nebraska and Mike and Ann Wardyn of Grand Island, Nebraska; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Dick Kohel of Lincoln, Nebraska, Marcia and Jim Leonard of Kearney, Nebraska, Mary Jo and Jerry Tanner of Scottsdale, Arizona, Linda Alexander of Columbus, Nebraska, Sharon and Doug Day of Loup City, Nebraska, Theresa and Kevin Jorgensen of St. Paul, Nebraska and Marge and Larry Kemling of Columbus, Nebraska; sister, Caroline Mazankowski of Loup City, Nebraska; 37 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends. Ralph grew up on the family farm and attended Wiggle Creek School and graduated with honors from Hazard (NE.) High School in 1943. Upon completing his education he farmed with his father and later on his own. Ralph was united in marriage to Rita Renee Woitalewicz on Sept. 12, 1949, at Loup City, Nebraska. The couple farmed north of Loup City, Nebraska later moving to Hazard, Nebraska and then Litchfield, Nebraska. They then moved to the family farm south of Loup City, Nebraska where all their children were raised. In the 1960's, Ralph also worked as a supervisor at the Cornhusker Army Ammunitions Plant, Grand Island, Nebraska. In 1985, the couple retired and moved into Loup City, Nebraska where they lived the rest of his life. Ralph was a member of St. Josaphat's Catholic Church, Loup City, Nebraska and Knights of Columbus Council 5455, Loup City, Nebraska. Ralph loved farming, gardening, fishing, playing pitch, dancing and playing his accordion. In later years, he enjoyed taking drives in the country to look at everyone's crops. Ralph was preceded in death by: parents; infant daughter, Janis Lynne Wardyn; infant son, Lawrence Howard Wardyn; brothers, Cash, Robert and Floyd Wardyn and sisters, Sabina Sokol, Dorothy Chelewski, Ella Obermiller and Regina Peterson. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Loup City, Nebraska.
