Description	:	Randall L. "Randy" Wissler, 62 of Beatrice, died Saturday night, August 24, 2013 at the Nebraska Heart Hospital in Lincoln. He was born on April 15, 1951 at DuBois and grew up in Beatrice and graduated from Pawnee City High School in 1969 where he played basketball. "Randy" Wissler, 62 of Beatrice, died Saturday night, August 24, 2013 at the Nebraska Heart Hospital in Lincoln. He was born on April 15, 1951 at DuBois and grew up in Beatrice and graduated from Pawnee City High School in 1969 where he played basketball. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Viet Nam War as an accountant while being stationed in Del Rio, Texas. He also was the table tennis champion in the Air Force. After his discharge, he worked construction, was a wood worker and a tour boat captain at Lake Mead, Arizona. He married Teresa Young on September 17, 1994 at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Beatrice. He was a computer programmer at Neapco and was manager of Mid-West Coating. In 2002, he and his wife became owners of Filley Custom Powder Coating. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Beatrice. He enjoyed his grandchildren, bird watching, golfing, playing his guitar, singing and the pure player poker club. Survivors include his wife, Teresa of Beatrice; two daughters, Anna Thorell and Alisha Fulmer and husband Tom all of Beatrice; three sons, Robert Thorell and wife Casey of Yorktown, VA, Brent Drake of Seward and Chad Drake of Beatrice; four grandchildren, Cole Grant, Natasha Drake, Jordan Drake and Alex Drake. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth W. and L. Louise Thomas Wissler; one brother, Steven Wissler; and two infant grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church of Beatrice with Dr. Jimmy Shelbourn officiating. A family prayer service will be held at 9:45 A.M. Thursday in the fellowship room of the church. Burial will be at 1:30 P.M. Thursday at the DuBois Cemetery of DuBois with military graveside rites. A memorial has been established to the family's choice with David and Kathy Olson in charge. The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home from 1:00 P.M. Monday until 9:00 P.M. Wednesday and then one hour preceding the service at the church on Thursday. The family will meet and greet relatives and friends Wednesday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice is in charge of the arrangements.
