HUTTON, 31, Fairfield Route 3. HUTTON, a factory lead man, and four other employes (sp) were assembling a stacker in preparation for final testing when the accident occurred about 11:35 a.m. A chain holding the over head stacker in place gave way, allowing it to fall. HUTTON was standing beneath the device and he was killed instantly. No one else was injured. Stackers make up one line of the material handling equipment manufactured by the local Acco division. They are designed to lift and move industrial equipment, traveling on an overhead carrier system. The plant was shut down Monday following the accident until 7:30 a.m. today. Company officials said the afternoon shift will not work on Thursday because of services for HUTTON. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Aaron Webber officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The casket will be taken from the Raymond Funeral Home to the church at noon Thursday. HUTTON was born Sept. 14, 1943 in Fairfield, the son of Rindle E. and Hattie WEBBER HUTTON. He was reared and educated in this community, graduating from Fairfield High School in 1962. He was active in high school sports and was a member of the 1961 FHS state basketball tournament team. HUTTON was married to Esther PREVETT July 2, 1961. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and Local 1293, International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. He had been employed at the Crane and Monorail Systems plant since 1963. Surviving are his widow, two daughters, Andrea and Doris, both at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. E. HUTTON, Fairfield; one sister, Mrs. Zelma GADDIS, Burlington; and two brothers, Dr. Edward L. HUTTON, Houston, Tex.; and Art E. HUTTON, Fairfield.
