Interment was in the White Oak Cemetery at Cambridge. Raymond Wesley Warren was one of seven brothers and sisters. He was born to John Wesley and Lora Mae Warren, Dec. 5, 1894, and grew up in the Cambridge community. He served in World War I on the U.S.S. Tacoma and was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. On Feb. 2, 1921 he was married to Gladyce Zook by Rev. Shipman at the Nevada Methodist parsonage. The couple made their home on a farm east of Cambridge. Their first child, John Otis, died at the age of three. Three other children were born to the union: Dr. Richard D. Warren of Ames, Juanita A. Behm, Osseo, Wisc. and Mrs. Ruth E. Paulsen of Rensselaer, Ind. Mr. Warren farmed until 1967 when he and his wife moved to 1531 Kellogg in Ames. They were members of the United Methodist Church in Nevada for many years. Surviving besides his wife and children are ten grandchildren and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Glendora Thompson, Mrs. Pearle Cooper, Mrs. Agnes Dunahugh, Otis J. Warren, Maurice A. Warren and Carrol L. Warren. His son, John, his parents and a sister, Viola Lewis, preceded him in death.
