| Description | : | Although her name is on the headstone, my research indicates she is not actually buried here. She died several years before anybody in her family moved to the Edgar area. She died in Bremer County, Iowa, and is believed to be buried in an unmarked grave in Alcock Cemetery there. She died of smallpox. Family lore indicates she is buried next to her fiance William Bostwick who also died of smallpox one week after her death. It is unknown if her grave there was never marked or if the marker was destroyed. Information thanks to Janice Coleman. |
