Her death was by consumption and followed an illness lasting over two years. Mrs. Sage, formerly lived at Villisca and most of her life was passed in this vicinity. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Coy, now deceased. Mrs. Sage was born in Perry County, Ohio, June 21, 1867 and was therefore 42 years, 5 months, and 15 days old at the time of her death. She came to Villisca with her parents when a child and grew to womanhood here. She was married to William M. Sage on the 14th day of December 1884. Mr. Sage was formerly manager of the Clarinda Poultry, Butter, and Egg house at this place. He and his wife moved to Claringa about 8 years ago, but moved to South Omaha five years later. Mrs. Sage is survived by a husband and three sons and one daughter, namely; Winnfred, age 20, Charles, aged 18, Bertha, age 15, and Tracy, age 9. She also leaves four brothers and one sister; Dow Coy, of Villisca, William and Frank Coy of Omaha, and Ed Coy of Coola, Oklahoma and Mrs. Samuel Masterson of Omaha. The funeral services were conducted from the M. E. Church in this city last Thursday at 3 o'clock by Rev. Enoch Hill, the pastor. Burial was made in the Villisca Cemetery. The body was accompanied here by the husband and the brother, William and wife, and Mr. and MRs. Masterson and son George Wiliam Coy, a nephew, and Miss Ella Spohn, a niece and two friends, Mrs. Williamson, the nurse and Mrs. Vergen, also came down from Omaha to attend the Funeral Mrs. SAge was well known to most Villisca people and the community extends the deepest sympathy to this bereaved family.
