Funeral services were held at the Wolfe Funeral Home Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and interment was in the Villisca Cemetery. The Rev. E. M. Buehler was in charge of the services, assisted by Rev. W. S. Read More	HOLD FUNERAL SERVICES FOR LORENZO DOW COY, 82 Lorenzo Dow Coy, 82, died at his home here last Thursday after a long illness. Funeral services were held at the Wolfe Funeral Home Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and interment was in the Villisca Cemetery. The Rev. E. M. Buehler was in charge of the services, assisted by Rev. W. S. Bowden. Mrs. Neal Gray was soloist and pall bearers were Fred Bolt, Charles Henry, Ed Rains, Elias Lewis, Wes Stallings, and Walter Griffith. Lorenzo Coy, son of William and Mary Ann Dugan Coy, was born in Rasko, Coshopton County, Ohio, and went to Illinois in 1870 where he lived with his parents four years, moving to Taylor County in 1874. In 1882 the family moved to Villisca and Lorenzo was married to Flora Bell Mathews in March of 1883. To this union were born 5 children, all of whom preceded their father in death. Mrs. Coy died in 1889. In 1891, Mr. Coy was married to Margaret E. Simmons and to them was born one daughter, Mary Stallings of Villisca. The second Mrs. Coy died on April 21, 1928. On August 2, 1930, Mr. Coy was married to Mrs. Florence Person who died in 1940. He is survived by Mrs. Lee Stallings of Villisca; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, two brothers, Edwin Coy in California, William Coy in Sioux City, Iowa and a sister, Cary Coy of Omaha. Mr. Coy was an active member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge for many years and at the time of his death was a social member. He was united with the Villisca United Methodist Church in July of 1932.
