Funeral services for M. L. Teter will be held Tuesday afternoon at the Kemp M. E. church, at 2 o'clock, with three ministers in charge, Rev. George D. Foster, Rev. A. H. Moore, of Noblesville, and Rev. O. T. Marton,pastor. Burial will be at Fairview cemetery. Further particulars regarding the death are that the aged man, who had been in ill health practically all of the winter, had arisen and started to dress, when he was seized with a heart attack and fell. In the fall his head struck a chair standing by the bed and made a bad bruise on the forehead. Death was almost instantaneous. Rev. Teter was one of the main stays of the Old Settlers' reunion of this county, which is held annually on the first Saturday in September at Goldsmith, and he generally was on the program for a short talk on early history of the county. He will be sorely missed from this gathering which he always attended if his health permitted. Rev. Teter was born in Tipton county, Feb. 10, 1845, being a son of Ebal and Hunnah (Baldwin) Teter. On December 28, 1862, he was united in marriage to Miss Sarah Welshons, and by this marriage three children were born. His first wife dying, he was then married in July 1871, to Miss Susanna robinson and they had eight children. Surviving are the widow and the following children: Mrs. John T. Meeks, of Newcastle; L.O. Teter, near Tipton; James E. Teter, of Oaklandon; Mrs. Morris Alvey of Harrison Ohio; Mrs. Earl Hobbs, of Elwood; M.R. Teter, of Windfall; Rev. A.P. Teter, of Markle; Edward f. Teter, of Frankfort. By the former marriage, the three children are, Mrs. Louis Magnett, of Goldsmith, Charles M. Teter and Jesse A. Teter, of Burly, Idaho.
