Description	:	The Reverend Nelson H. Bartlett, 89, of Berea, Ritchie County, died Wednesday, June 22, 1888, at the Louis A. Johnson VA Hospital, Clarksburg, following an extended illness. He was born in DeKalb, Gilmer County, a son of the late Pinas W. and Clara Wright Bartlett. He was ordained as a Baptist minister in Three Poplars Baptist Church, was a pastor of many Baptist churches, and held revivals all over West Virginia. Ray Bartlett of Big Springs, Eugene Bartlett of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Harley Bartlett of Logan; one stepson, J.D. law of Chino, California; one sister, Stella Greitzner of Vero Beach, Florida; one brother, Wanna Bartlett of Williamsport, Pennsylvania; 11 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, daisy P. Garton Bartlett; his second wife, Reba Lou Bartlett and three brothers, Orville, Troy and French Bartlett. Services were held Sunday, June 26, at the Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, with the Reverends Zane Gray, Bill Angel and Barry Skaggs officiating. Burial was in the Bethlehem Cemetery, near Grantsville, with Masonic rites. The Glenville Democrat, June 30, 1988
