Description	:	Richard Allen George, son of John Lester George and Guila Faye Huckins, was born December 4, 1939 at Belleville, Ks. Living all his life in Chester, Nebraska he attended both grade and high school. He was briefly enrolled at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. Read More	Richard Allen George, son of John Lester George and Guila Faye Huckins, was born December 4, 1939 at Belleville, Ks. Living all his life in Chester, Nebraska he attended both grade and high school. He was briefly enrolled at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. On June 23, 1963, he was married to Beverly Mach at the Presbyterian Church in Narka, Ks. To this union two children were born: Dallan Todd and Shelly Faye. Totally devoted to his family, he was a farmer-stockman who thoroughly enjoyed his work. During his school years, Richard was active in sports and continued to be an avid supporter of the local youth in all their activities. At the time of the Berlin Crisis he was serving in the National Guard. He was a Past Master in the Chester Masonic Lodge No. 298. Dick was an active member of the Chester United Methodist Church and will be remembered as a good neighbor who was always involved in being helpful and considerate of others. His hearty sense of humor enlivened all his contacts. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Beverly, and children, Dallan and Shelly; an aunt and uncle, Mildred and Gerald Huckins, all of Chester; another aunt, Mrs. Shirley (Verne) Krause of Peabody, Ks.; cousins, Sharyn White of Norwalk, Ia., Denise Krause of Peabody, Ks. and Koni Jamieson of Hutchinson, Ks.; other relatives and many, many friends. Funeral services were held Monday, August 4, 1980 at the United Methodist Church, Chester, Nebraska at 10:00 a.m. with the Reverends Charles D. Mitchell and Marlon Loftis officiating. Mrs. Dolan Frye was organist with Mrs. Maurice Mitchell and Mrs. Jack Long singing. Casket bearers were Maurice Mitchell, Ronald Mumm, Elmer Holmes, Robert Harms, Coby Mack, Scott Mach and Mark Eickman. Graveside services were by State Line Post No. 317, American Legion and Chester Lodge No. 298 AF & AM with interment at the Chester Cemetery.
