He was born April 7, 1913, northeast of Altoona, Kansas, the son of Roy and Susie (Hamill) Cleaver. On Jan. 10, 1938, he married Dorothy N. Morgan in Altoona. She died Sept. 30, 2003. He and his wife worked on farms for a few years before moving to Chanute in 1945. He worked as an electrician for the Ash Grove Cement Plant for 32 years, retiring in 1978. He was born April 7, 1913, northeast of Altoona, Kansas, the son of Roy and Susie (Hamill) Cleaver. On Jan. 10, 1938, he married Dorothy N. Morgan in Altoona. She died Sept. 30, 2003. He and his wife worked on farms for a few years before moving to Chanute in 1945. He worked as an electrician for the Ash Grove Cement Plant for 32 years, retiring in 1978. He enjoyed woodworking and carving. Survivors include one son, Dale Cleaver, of Antioch IL; three daughters, Judith Kvasnicka of Oakley, KS, Teresa Schmitt of Bellevue, NE, and Sharon Fesler of Dearing, KS; two sisters, Treva Eldred of Warsaw, MO, and Betty Lewis of Rio Rancho, NM; one brother, Willard Cleaver, of Chanute, KS; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Bernita Williams. Funeral services will be Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, at the Gibson-Koch Friskel Chapel in Chanute, KS, led by the Rev. Frank Morgan. Burial will be in the Neosho County Memorial Park Cemetery, 21st Street, Chanute, Kansas. Memorials to the Cherry Street Youth Organization or Horizon Hospice may be left at the mortuary. Gibson-Koch-Friskel Mortuary, Chanute, KS, is in charge of arrangements. **********************************
