Read More	The Belleville Telescope, April 23, 1987 Richard Wayne "Dick" Blackwood of Castle Rock, Colo. was born October 24, 1929, in Nuckolls County, Nebr., the son of Henry Carl and Alice Stichka Blackwood, and died at his home on Friday, April 10, 1987, at the age of 57 years. He moved to Courtland with his parents in 1930. He studied art at Bethany Lutheran College and received a bachelor of arts degree from Wichita State University. He served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean conflict. He married Deana K. Wise in Las Vegas, Nev., on August 2, 1962. Moving from Denver, the family has lived in the Castle Rock area the past 15 years. He was an investment banker with National Securities in Denver. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Castle Rock, and served on the Board of the Castle Rock Fire Protection District. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his wife, Deana; daughters, Mary Schenck of Los Angeles, Calif., Cathy English of Sacramento, Calif., Shannon Moudy of Castle Rock; one son, Cory Blackwood of Castle Rock; his mother, Alice Blackwood of Courtland; brothers, Pat Blackwood of Barstow, Calif., Gene Blackwood of Courtland and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held April 20 at Andrews Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Rodney E. Hull of the First United Methodist Church in Castle Rock officiating. Private interment was in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Castle Rock.
