Description	:	Robert A. "Bob" Gray (age 70) of Newport, Washington, was found by authorities on May 31, 2006, in Newport. Bob was born on January 13, 1936 in Spokane, Washington, the son of Fred and Janice (Curtis) Gray. He grew up in Spokane and graduated from West Valley High School in 1955. He then joined the United States Army and served as a medic during the Vietnam War. "Bob" Gray (age 70) of Newport, Washington, was found by authorities on May 31, 2006, in Newport. Bob was born on January 13, 1936 in Spokane, Washington, the son of Fred and Janice (Curtis) Gray. He grew up in Spokane and graduated from West Valley High School in 1955. He then joined the United States Army and served as a medic during the Vietnam War. Bob worked for several companies over the years, including Kaiser at the Trentwood plant, and was a foster parent for many years. Bob was also a great mechanic. He moved to the Newport area in 1991. He was an accomplished woodworker, and enjoyed classic cars. He loved any kind of animals and was also a master gardener. Survivors include his two daughters Tanya Pope, of Spokane and DeLana (and John) Lacy of Newport; seven grandchildren: Savannah Frye, JoHannah Frye, Justin Pope, Brooklynn Pope, all of Spokane, Johnny, Ashley and Kailey Lacy, all of Newport; one sister Bonnie (and Dave) Peebler of Spokane; two cousins Betty (and Burl) Champeaux and Marilea (and Arnold) Lee. Survivors also include numerous nieces and nephews.Bob was a true friend to all who knew him. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, Carolyn Gray, to cancer in February of 2005.
