Description	:	Robert Andrew Reed Martin, son of James and Elizabeth Martin, was born at Mediapolis, Iowa, February 27, 1874, and passed away at his home in Mt. Clare, Nebraska, at 8 p.m. March 10, 1944, at the age of 70 years and 12 days. He was united in marriage to Mattie E. McCrory at Denison, Kansas, August 17th, 1904. To this union were born five children: Harold of Bostwick, Helen Denny of Superior, Fern TeSelle, of Lincoln, Eleanor Friend of Providence, R.I., and Ray serving in the U.S. Army. There are eight grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters and two brothers: Will of Bostwick, Mary of Mt. Clare, Maggie Nash of Monrovia, California, Hugh of Denver, Alice Mearns of Bostwick, and Rose Grotberg of Denver. Besides these who mourn his loss are a number of nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. At the age of seven years he came with his parents and and (sic) located on a farm near Mt. Clare and has lived in this vicinity for 63 years, baking being his principal occupation. He united with the Beulah Reformed Presbyterian Church at an early age. He was ordained as a deacon in 1905 and has served faithfully in that office ever since. He was a friend of old and young and especially of little children. He was a devoted husband, a loving father and his delight was in his home. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 from Zulaufs (sic) Funeral Home in Superior, Rev. R.C. Adams of the Beulah Church officiating, with Rev. J.C. McElroy of Superior assisting. Burial was in the Superior cemetery. All the children were present.
