Robert Edward Kneip was born on November 1, 1938 in Le Mars to Nick and Dorothy (Kunkel) Kneip. He attended grade school at Oyens, Iowa, and later graduated from Remsen St. Mary's High School in 1955. On November 17, 1962, Bob and Ruth Roling were united in marriage at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Remsen. They made their home in Oyens for a few years prior to moving to Le Mars. Bob's entire career revolved around the feed business. In his early years he owned and operated a Purina Feed Store in Le Mars. He later merged with Supersweet Feeds and worked in sales until his retirement. Bob was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and served the church in many capacities. He was a past Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus and was a 4th degree Knight. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Ruth Kneip of Le Mars, Iowa; two sons and their children Rick and Mary Kneip, Conor, Colton, Carson, and Caden of Le Mars, and Ron and Angela Kneip, Dylan and Dustan of Le Mars; brothers, Gerald Kneip of Le Mars and Dick and Joyce Kneip of Oyens; a sister, Cindy and Delbert Berkenpas of Le Mars; sisters-in-law, Sally and Kenny Kneip of Le Mars, Diane and Bob Ames of Omaha, Nebraska, and Connie and Harold Pronga of Waukon, Iowa; a brother-in-law, Fred and MaryKay Roling of Remsen; and a sister-in-law, RoseMary and Rich Braun of Omaha. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; mother- and father-in-law, Lawrence and Mildred Roling; a brother and a sister-in-law, Loren and Mary Kneip, a sister, Donna Mae Kneip; a sister-in-law, Loree Kneip; and niece, Linda Kneip.
