Description	:	Robert Edward Martin, son of John Preston and Ellen McCoy Martin, was born at Grafton, Nebraska, May 29, 1884, and died at Salinas, California May 12, 1964. He had lived many years in San Jose, Calif., a retired millwright and inventor, after managing flour mills in Wyoming, Utah, and Colorado. He was the last of his generation of Martins, having been preceded in death by sister Maude (Littlefield), Emma (Tice Meyers), Hattie (Charles Meyers), Ella (Church), and a brother, O. Frank Martin. The three children of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Martin were all born in Beaver Crossing, He is survived by a daughter, Ardith Winangar, Monterey, Calif., with whom he made his home the past six years, and a son, John Preston Martin, Hayward, California. A son, R. E. Martin, died in May 1937, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Graveside services were held May 18, in Cemeterio El Encinal, Monterey, California.
