Ardinger, aged 35 years, passed away at the home of his parents on Main street at 8:30 o'clock this morning. He was an expert chef and for years past has been engaged at his calling in many places in the west. While working in Livingston, Mont., recently, he contracted a cold and returned to Lead three weeks ago, suffering from pneumonia. He failed rapidly after reaching here and at no time during his last sickness was there any well grounded hope of his recovery. He was born in Williamsport, Md., on March 25, 1881. He was one of a pair of twins, the other having died two years after birth. He came to Lead in 1893 and this city has since been his home. He is survived by his parents, two sisters and two brothers. The sisters are Mrs. E.L. Crow and Mrs. Fannie Russell of Lead and the brothers Hamilton and Peter Ardinger, also of Lead. The latter is now at Williamsport, Md., and has been advised of his brother's death. It is not known whether he will be able to come for the funeral, the time of which has not yet been announced. Ardinger, will take place Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Lead Methodist church, Rev. Bryner of the Baptist church officiating. Interment will be made in South Lead cemetery. Rounsevell Mortuary records state that "Robert F. Ardinger" was born March 25, 1881 in Maryland; died September 29, 1916 of pulmonary tuberculosis; age 35 years 6 months 4 days; certifying physician - Dr. Crane; occupation - chef; father - B. Ardinger, born Ohio; mother - Emma Dorn?, born Maryland.; funeral from the M.E. Church at 2:00 a.m. on October 1, 1916.
