Description	:	Robert H. Hinton BELOIT — Robert H. Hinton, 87, formerly of state Route 534 (Princetown Road), Beloit, died at 12:01 a.m. Monday at the Canterbury Villa of Alliance. He was born March 13, 1920, in Salem, the son of the late Lawrence W. and Lydia Ann (Dunn) Hinton. Mr. Hinton worked for the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 396 for 40 years and retired in 1985. Read More	Robert H. Hinton BELOIT — Robert H. Hinton, 87, formerly of state Route 534 (Princetown Road), Beloit, died at 12:01 a.m. Monday at the Canterbury Villa of Alliance. He was born March 13, 1920, in Salem, the son of the late Lawrence W. and Lydia Ann (Dunn) Hinton. Mr. Hinton worked for the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 396 for 40 years and retired in 1985. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Salem, a 1938 graduate of Salem High school, attended Ohio State University and was an avid Buckeyes fan, member of Perry Lodge F&AM 185 and a 50-year life member of Local Union 396. Bob enjoyed woodworking, showing his ponies pulling a two-seated surrey in local parades, sports, hunting and his dogs. Mr. Hinton was accepted to Frank Lloyd Wright Architectural School in Wisconsin but was unable to attend because of his military obligations. He served in the Coast Guard from 1941 to 1945 during World War II and in the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1952. Survivors include his wife, Helen E. (Weingart) Hinton, whom he married Sept. 28, 1947, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Stark Memorial. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday one hour before the services at the funeral home. The Salem VFW Post 892 and Amvets Post 45 Burial Group will accord full military honors at the cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salem High School Alumni Association, 328 E. State Street, Salem, Ohio 44060 or or the First United Methodist Church, 244 S.
