Description	:	LAST RITES HELD FOR ROBERT L. KING Funeral services for Robert L. King were held Saturday, June 25, 1966 at 2:00 p.m. from the Wolfe Funeral Home with the Rev. Nadim Salkaly officiating. The organist was Mrs. Mabel Dunn, who accompanied Mrs. Frances Gray in the following vocal selections, “Beautiful Isle of Somewhere,” and “Does Jesus Car.” Flower bearers were Mrs. Harry Bashaw and Mrs. Werald Penwell. Casketbearers included Orvis Wagaman, Robert Sprague, Glen Fengel, Earl Schenck, Fredrick Bryson, and Bill Day. The Military Service by Ker-A-Vor Post No. 251, and interment was at the Villisca Cemetery. Robert L. King was born to Frank L. and Marjorie Aldridge King on May 6, 1922 in Morton Mills. He grew to young manhood in that vicinity, attending school there and in Villisca. He graduated from high school here in 1939. During 1940 he attended school in Chillicothe, Missouri. He entered the Armed Forces February 10, 1941. In 1943 he was taken prisoner and spent 27 months in Stalag 3B Prison Camp in Germany, being discharged in 1945. About a year later he entered the Air Corp and spent sometime in Alaska and camps in the south. He was preceded in death by his mother, June 1952. For the past fifteen years he has lived in California and passed away in Los Angeles on June 21, 1966. He is survived by his father, one sister, Mrs. Jack Wright of Villisca, two nephews and one niece. also surviving is an aunt, Mrs. Adia Moates.
