Description	:	Funeral services wee held Tuesday afternoon fro the Wolfe Funeral Home for Robert P, Stallings, 76, who died Sunday at his home in Villisca. The Rev. L. B. Carpenter was in charge of the final rites and interment was made in the Villisca Cemetery. Pall bearers were Omer Day, Lunn Hoyle, George Buffington, Charles Henry, Gus Sanders, and Julian Bean. Music was furnished by Marie Underwood, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Frances Wheeler. Robert P. Stalling was born in Lenoir, North Carolina, March 25, 1864. He was married to Belle Wilson, December 9, 1894, and to this union were born six children, Tom and Lee, and Mrs. Maude Shaver of Villisca, Mrs. Erilla Bowers of Nodaway, Mrs. Lela Shepherd of Pittsburg, California, and Henry who preceded his father in death August 5, 1923. Besides the children and his wife, Mr. Stalling is survived by 10 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and one brother, I. C. Stallings. Four sisters and one brother preceded him in death. He had made his home in this vicinity more than 40 years and had been in failing health for the last two years, being bedfast the last 5 1/2 weeks of his life. The children were all with him at the time of his death, except Mrs. Shepherd who had gone home a few days before, after visiting for four weeks and assisting in his care.
