Description	:	Thomas McKinley Stallings, 47, for many years a resident of Villisca, died Monday at 1:30 p.m. in Corning, his death resulting from a heart attack. On his return home from Omaha, Monday forenoon he was stricken with an attack on the train at Emerson, but revived and reached his rooming place in Corning where he apparently was recovering after receiving medical attention, but another attack proved fatal. Read More	Thomas McKinley Stallings, 47, for many years a resident of Villisca, died Monday at 1:30 p.m. in Corning, his death resulting from a heart attack. He was born May 9, 1896 in Lenore, North Carolina and at the age of 4 years came with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert B. Stallings to Villisca where he grew to manhood. He was a graduate of the Villisca high school and a veteran of World War I and was a member of the American Legion post of Corning. He was employed at the stock yards in Corning. For several years he was employed as operator for the Burlington Railroad Company. He is survived by a brother, Lee Stallings of Villisca, and two sisters, Mrs. Russell Shepherd of Pittsburg, California, and Mrs. Erilla Bowers of Nodaway. Mrs. Shepherd will be here for the funeral service which will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Wolfe Funeral Home. The funeral sermon will be by the Rev. E. M. Bueller and the American Legion posts of Villisca and Corning will take part in the service. Interment will be in the Villisca Cemetery. Villisca Review, Thursday, October 4, 1942, page 4
