Born November 25, 1952, at Napoleon, to Lillian (Drewes) and Walter VonDeylen, he married Lynda Schuette on June 22, 1974, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Napoleon Township, and she survives. A buyer for Alex Products of Ridgeville Corners for the past six years, he was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Ridgeville Corners, having served as deacon, usher, a member of the Scholarship Fellowship and many other church positions. Born November 25, 1952, at Napoleon, to Lillian (Drewes) and Walter VonDeylen, he married Lynda Schuette on June 22, 1974, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Napoleon Township, and she survives. A buyer for Alex Products of Ridgeville Corners for the past six years, he was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Ridgeville Corners, having served as deacon, usher, a member of the Scholarship Fellowship and many other church positions. He was a Little League coach and an active supporter of the Ridgeville Corners community. He had been a member of the Ridgeville Township Volunteer Fire Department since 1971, serving as assistant fire chief from 1992-1998 and as fire chief from 1999-2006, recently retiring. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his parents, Walter and Lillian VonDeylen of Ridgeville Corners; two sons, Barry (and wife, Jeannie) VonDeylen of Ridgeville Corners and Kyle (Nicole) VonDeylen of Archbold; a grandson, Parker VonDeylen; three sisters, Mrs. Ray (Ellen Kay) Drewes of Ridgeville Corners, Mrs. Barry (Ann) Woodyard of Kalida and Mrs. Dennis (Betty) Mohring of Ridgeville Corners; and a brother, Ray (Rhonda) VonDeylen of Napoleon.
