Description	:	Roberta Arlene Stone, the daughter of Walter Ralph and Gladys May (Wilson) Morehead, was born on October 9, 1930 on a farm northwest of Nelson, Nebraska. She passed away on December 18, 2009 at the Rosebrook Care Center in Edgar, Nebraska at the age of 79 years. Roberta was educated at the Pleasant Ridge School and Nelson Public High School in Nelson, Nebraska. She was united in marriage to John Stone on June 27, 1952 by Rev. McCane. Read More	Roberta Arlene Stone, the daughter of Walter Ralph and Gladys May (Wilson) Morehead, was born on October 9, 1930 on a farm northwest of Nelson, Nebraska. She passed away on December 18, 2009 at the Rosebrook Care Center in Edgar, Nebraska at the age of 79 years. Roberta was educated at the Pleasant Ridge School and Nelson Public High School in Nelson, Nebraska. She was united in marriage to John Stone on June 27, 1952 by Rev. McCane. They lived all their married life in Nelson except for a few months in Knoxville, Tennessee. She worked as a cafe waitress, and Avon representative, at the Nelson Nursing Home and was a house keeper. She loved her family, here nieces and nephews and her pet dogs and cats. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John on August 28, 2007; brother, William Bill Morehead, infant sister Lorene Marie and sister Lavon Larison. She is survived by nephews and nieces, other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held on Monday, December 21, 2009 from the Nelson Community United Church of Christ in Nelson, Nebraska with Rev. Dr. Stephen Berry officiating. Pallbearers were Casey Troudt, Eric Grassman, Johnny Himmelberg, Steve Rust, Jordon Kramp and Carson Rowley. Honorary pallbearers were Bud Wehrman, Mike Drexel, Ron Fryda, Ken Himmelberg, Larry Thornsberry and Don McCartney. Interment was in the Nelson Cemetery at Nelson, Nebraska. Memorials suggested to Asera Care Hospice, 401 Lincoln Ave., Ste 2, York, Nebraska 68467, the Rosebrook Care Center, Edgar, Nebraska or the Nelson Community United Church of Christ.
