Survivors include his wife, Janet; three children, at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Crawford, Beaver Crossing; and two brothers, Donald and Gary, both in the Navy and stationed in Okinawa. Obituary: Ronald Dean Crawford, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Crawford of Beaver Crossing, was born on December 15, 1940 at Beaver Crossing. He spent his boyhood years on the family farm southeast of Beaver Crossing. In 1958, Ron was graduated from Beaver Crossing High School. He was united in marriage to Janet Ricenbaw in January 1959 and to this union were born three children, Lori Lynn, Rodney Dean, and Mark James, all at home. Ronald was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Cordova. For the past several years he was engaged in farming with his father-in-law and carried a livestock feeding operation onhis farm near Cordova. Along with being a good husband and father, Ron took pride in his farming activities. He enjoyed the love and companionship of his parents and brothers, and also that of his wife's family. He was an avid sports fan and an energetic participant in sporting activities. He carried this tireless into all areas of his day to day responsibilities. Ronald was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Beaver Crossing, a member of the Cordova Volunteer Fire Department, and a past member of the Cordova Co-op Elevator Junior Board. On the night of September 14, 1965, Ron died of injuries received in an automobile accident near Beaver Crossing. Survivors include his wife and children, his parents, two brothers, Donald and Gerald both of Yokahama, Japan, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on September 18 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cordova with the Rev. Lew Meissner officiating. Pallbearers were Dale Due, Kenneth Due, Phillip Gallup, Roger Hannon, Thomas Tyrrell, and John Noler. Burial was at the Beaver Crossing Cemetery.
