Description	:	Rosa Luella Gausman was born Aug. 29, 1906, to Charles and Kittie Merriam Young at Hubbell. She died Nov. 2, 1990 at Asbury Hospital in Salina, Kan. at the age of 84 years. She lived her entire life in the Hubbell-Chester area. She attended Hubbell Public School. On Sept. 23, 1925 she was united in marriage to Julius F. (Dude) Gausman. In 1944 the family moved to Chester. She was a member of the Rebecca (sic) Lodge for several years, the Chester United Methodist church and WSCS, the Eagles Lodge and ladies auxiliary of the Rural Mail Carriers. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Albert, Leroy, Fred, Lee Wallace, Estel and Milton; a sister, Victoria Rist and infant Lena; and one granddaughter, Jill Gausman. Rose is survived by her husband Julius; her children, Leona and Gerald Miller of Lincoln, Robert and Phyllis Gausman of Fairbury, Max and Roberta Gausman of Chester, Maxine Moxham of Newark, Calif. and Kitty JoAnn and Donald Elwell of Lincoln; two brothers, Jesse Young of Hubbell and Floyd Ray of Colorado Springs, Colo.; brother and sisters-in-law, Homer Gausman and Marge of Omaha, Afton Young, Mrs. Edith Osterbuhr and Mrs. William Gausman of Neodesha, Kan. and Berneice McNiece of Falbrook, Calif. Surviving grandchildren are Connie Rosa Snider, Dr. Thomas Thrasher, Wayne Thrasher, Julie Liewer, Joni Backer, Jeff Gausman, Gregg and Steven Moxham, Randall, Michael and Russell Gausman, Rebecca Griffin, Mona Lee Yardley, Glenn and Joel Elwell, and step-grandsons David and Mark Miller; 19 great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild and many friends. Funeral services were held Nov. 7, at 2 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Randy Dilts. Interment was in the Chester cemetery (sic). Music was provided by Mrs. Jack Long and Mrs. Michael Tipton with Mrs. Dolan Frye, organist. Casket bearers were Randall Gausman, Michael Gausman, Russell Gausman, Wayne Thrasher, Glenn Elwell and Jeff Gausman. Honorary casket bearers were Joel Elwell, Gregg Moxham, David Miller, Dr. Thomas J. Thrasher, Steven Moxham and Mark Miller.
