Description	:	Charles Birtrue Young, son of Isaac and Harriet Young, was born May 15, 1873, at Essex, Ia. When a child of three he moved with his family to the Hubbell community, where he lived all of this remaining life. He was united in marriage with Miss Kittie Merriam on Feb. 14, 1895. Read More	Charles Birtrue Young, son of Isaac and Harriet Young, was born May 15, 1873, at Essex, Ia. When a child of three he moved with his family to the Hubbell community, where he lived all of this remaining life. He was united in marriage with Miss Kittie Merriam on Feb. 14, 1895. Twelve children, three girls and nine boys were born to this union. Two children died in infancy. Mr. Young was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge. He was always a kind and loving father and always ready and willing to lend a helping hand to friends and neighbors. He passed away after a short illness at his home on January 31, 1951. He is survived by his wife, Kittie; ten children, Mrs. Victoria Rist, Fremont; Albert, Fairbury; Roy and Jesse, Hubbell; Fred, Kent, Washington; Wallace, Van Nuys, Calif.; Mrs. Rosa Gausman, Chester; Ray, Hebron; and Estel and Milton at home; one brother, Victor of Chester; twenty-one grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; twenty-three nieces and nephews and other relatives. Funeral services were conducted from the Methodist church (sic) in Hubbell on Feb. 2, 1951. Rev. J.K. Irwin in charge. Mrs. Emery Pont and Miss Vera Pointer sang, accompained (sic) by Mrs. Stella Hirons. Pallbearers were: Harry Stradley, Chas. Manning, Charles Butts, Joe Roy, Lad Wit, and Lee Manning. Note: Charles' middle name has been spelled as Bertrue but his signature on his WWI Draft Registration Card indicates that it is spelled Birtrue. Brent Young
