Read More	Dayton Review December 29, 1921 Obituary Rosena Josephine Sackett was born October 7, 1849, in Sangamon County, Ill., and passed away at the home of her son, Walter Draper in Yell township, northeast of Dayton, December 14, 1921, aged 72 years, 2 months, 7 days. When a small child she moved with her parents to Mount Pleasant, Iowa, where she grew up to young womanhood, and when eighteen years of age was united in marriage to William L. Draper. They still continued to live at Mount Pleasant for thirteen more years when they moved to Blue Springs, Nebraska, where they lived on a farm until 1910. After this time, their family having established homes of their own, Mr. and Mrs. Draper lived among the homes of their children. On May 12, 1920, she was stricken with paralysis at the home of her son, and lived at his home until her death. Her recovery from this stroke was hindered by the tragic death of her grandson, Kyle Berry, which occurred in July of that summer. In November she contracted diphtheria, and while convalescing from this disease, she fell and sustained a fracture of the hip. In her weakened condition, she could not rally from the shock and the days of pain following. Her passing away was a relief from great suffering. Mrs. Draper united with the Prairie Cottage M. E. Church at Blue Springs, Nebr., many years ago, and continued a faithful member of this church until her death. Three children were born of their union, Walter Draper and Mrs. Fred Berry of this community and Leonard Berry of Anad, Montana. Besides her three children, she leaves to mourn her death, three grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death. On account of the distance her son Leonard was unable to be present at her funeral, which was held on Friday from the Grace M. E. church, Rev. Walker conducted the services, and her remains laid beside those of her husband in Dayton cemetery.
