Ross and his wife were both killed when the truck he was driving was hit broadside by another vehicle, the accident happened east of Pawnee City, Nebr. ************************************************************** ROSCOE HARRY CUTSHALL Roscoe Harry Cutshall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Cutshall, was born June 29, 1895, at Wymore, Nebr., and passed away in the Pawnee City hospital Wednesday, June 25, 1941, aged 45 years, 11 months and 26 days. Ross, as so many of us called him, lived in Wymore for 10 years, later moving with his parents to a farm east of DuBois, where he resided for a number of years. After his marriage he spent most of his life in and near DuBois, with the exception of a few years near Summerfield. Nov. 29, 1918, at Oregon, Mo., he was united in marriage to Vera Mina Chambers. To this union one son, Glenn Walter, was born. He attended rual schools of the county and had engaged in a number of occupations , having been a salesman for A. W. Buman and for a number of years, with his father, carried on a trucking business. For the last two years he had transported mail from Table Rock to DuBois, he and his wife conducted a cafe in the Cutshall building for the last few years. He was a former member of the Woodmen lodge and also was a member of the DuBois Service club. Ross was a likeable man, patient to his affliction which he had borne for a number of years, kindly and helpful in all he could do for his friends and neighbors. He had displayed over the years a great fortitude to strive to do his tasks as best he could. His friends speak highly of him. He was particularly interested in the older men with whom he had done business and made an effort to visit with each when they came to town. Ross was well known by a large group of friends throughout the state. He was very accommodating and always had a friendly greeting for one. June 22 he was fatally injured and all that science could do availed naught, and he answered the call shortly after noon Wednesday, June 25. He is survived by his son, Glenn; his mother, Mrs. Emma Cutshall of DuBois; one sister, Mrs. Grace Haight, and one brother, Howard, both of DuBois, besides a number of other relatives and friends. Double funeral services were held Thursday morning at the United Brethren church, in charge of Rev. Otis Webb. Burial was in the DuBois cemetery. (Clipping from Unknown Newspaper.) Word was received here Wednesday that Ross Cutshall passed away at the Pawnee Hospital Wednesday morning from injuries sustained in the accident. A double funeral for Mr. and Mrs. Cutshall will be held in the U.B. church at DuBois at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
